The Magnifica Humanitas Society was born as a responsible to the emergence of AI as a disruptive technology in society. The society seeks to bring Catholic Social Teaching into the wider debate around emerging technology and its impacts for society. Our vision is a future in which the Social Doctrine of the Church remains the vibrant overarching framework for ethical discourse for the future society through an engaged and active public discourse.
Our mission is to facilitate discourse and provide a platform and network for public discourse and research into the AI, emerging technologies, and Catholic Social teaching. The Magnifica Humanitas Society looks to connect a global audience to the beating heart of the debate on AI and Catholic Social teaching, to enrich and facilitate public discourse.
